The Student Internship Program is designed to afford students the opportunity to gain experiences that are closely aligned with each student’s abilities, professional goals, and areas of interest.  This program is designed for middle/high school students (Grades 8-12) and college students of all disciplines and levels year-round.

 

Internships will:

• Provide students with the necessary experience within their field of study

• Provide students with an opportunity to have a professional mentor & guidance

• Provide real work and life skill opportunities for students to develop positive work habits

• Provide outreach to the community

 

Agency/Facility Responsibilities:

• Work assignments should be determined following careful consideration of each intern’s skills, knowledge, and experience.

 

All organizations/facilities employing or hosting interns should monitor students’ assignments and provide the guidance and support necessary to promote their growth and development.

 

Eligibility Requirements:

• All students must have and maintain a 2.5 GPA or above under the system of grading used by the institution. (Official school documentation is requested regularly.)

• Each student must submit their report card/transcript.
